Essay & Two Symposiums

‘Beauty’ has an imminent impact on our life but perhaps the attitude towards it requires a review. What has happened to the notion of ‘Beauty’ since humanism? Should architecture embody beauty? If so, how is it possible to create beautiful architecture considering the prominence of relativism in contemporary culture? Should architecture be limited to utility and contextually friendly objects, or should we make spaces that touch our minds, and our hearts? Your task is to formulate an argument on what architects’ ought to do about ‘Beauty’? Not only architectural point of views, but also the influence of philosophy and art should be considered here.
